If you are involved in an accident – immediately
call 1-888-224-5677. A Drivers First representative is available 24/7 to assist you.
Immediately report the accident to the police if anyone is injured and/or if the damages to the vehicles exceed $1000
If possible – safely drive your vehicle out of traffic and exchange information with the other drivers
If the vehicle needs to be towed - a tow truck will take your vehicle to a Collision Reporting Centre. Please contact us from there and we can instruct you on next steps. Please refrain from authorizing any repairs until you contact us.
Do not admit fault for the accident- simply exchange information.
If you are in an accident - be sure to get the following information from all other drivers involved:
- Name, Address, Telephone Number, Drivers License number,
- Insurance Company name and policy number,
- Year / Make and Model of the vehicles involved,
- obtain information from any witnesses, including their contact information
